Janet H. Collins |
B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies, UTD, 2001; M.A. Interdisciplinary Studies, UTD, 2008 Janet has been an academic advisor in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies at UTD since the summer of 2002. She has "hands-on" experience in Interdisciplinary Studies, having earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in spring 2001 and her M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in fall 2008. She is currently working on a graduate degree to become a licensed professional counselor. Janet's personal philosophy is that if a student is interested in a particular subject (for example, psychology) they will earn better grades. Janet tries to work with each individual student to design a degree plan that reflects that student's interests, and guides them towards their academic and personal goals.
