Internship Program Overview
The School of Interdisciplinary Studies Internship Programs at UT Dallas offer students several opportunities for practical experience in their field of interest while earning college credits. Students may choose an internship based on their major, as in Healthcare Studies. Some students may want to pursue an internship involving socially conscious issues. Whatever the area, students can benefit from an internship in a variety of ways:
- Gaining valuable work contacts and experience in a professional environment
- Earning academic credit while at the same time garnering work experience
- Clarifying and solidifying personal and professional goals and interests
- Building credentials and work experience to add to student’s post-graduation résumé
The Interdisciplinary Studies Internship Programs admit undergraduate and graduate students from all programs in the University and allow students from other schools to gain credit as well as valuable work experience.
Through an internship guided by a faculty sponsor, you will gain valuable experience and contacts that will assist in your future career networking.
