Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students and community Corps members to serve preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. Our proven curriculum helps children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for kindergarten, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late.
Jumpstart is the only national supplemental program that leverages the power of community and adult-child relationships to build the key language and literacy skills children need to take on the world.

The UT Dallas Jumpstart program is part of the Campus Based region.
We would like to thank all those individuals and organizations who have supported UT Dallas Jumpstart throughout the past few years.
Jumpstart has undergone a site evaluation process to ensure that they are serving as many children as possible in key communities of need across the country. This process has resulted in some very difficult decisions to remove Jumpstart programs from a small number of existing communities. Unfortunately, Jumpstart has decided that they will no longer be able to provide services to our Dallas community and therefore, the site at UT Dallas will close on August 31, 2013.
If you would like to get in touch with Jumpstart in the future, contact Jumpstart’s National Office at 617-542-5867 or visit www.jstart.org for specific contact information.
