About JumpstartFrom the beginningJumpstart is a leading nonprofit organization working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. Since 1993, we've been bringing at-risk preschool children and college students together through one-on-one mentoring relationships to build the language, literacy and social skills necessary to succeed not just in school, but in life. Growing strongerSince 2000, thanks to generous support from our education partners and sponsors, the Jumpstart network has increased annually by an average of nearly 30 percent, making it one of America's fastest growing nonprofit organizations. Today, Jumpstart is determined to reach more children in more communities by replicating our proven program model. Jumpstart's impact across the nation On the horizonAs we look ahead, we are determined to reach every preschool child in need of a "jumpstart." In the next 10 years, Jumpstart will recruit and train more than 30,000 college students and community volunteers so that we can serve 100,000 preschool children.
