Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies is designed to give students a multidisciplinary perspective on human health and health care. In addition to science courses with laboratories, this degree program requires healthcare foundation courses as well as courses specifically related to the study of healthcare in a philosophical, historical, psychological, sociological and biological context.

The program is focused on health care related knowledge as well as scientific courses required by health professions schools, setting it apart from other scientific programs that focus on limited science courses. The program’s multidisciplinary approach also benefits students during interviews with health professional schools.
