Internship and Employment Opportunities

The HLTH4304 Health Professions Internship is one of the important core courses in Healthcare Studies program. It provides students with exposure to a professional healthcare environment, interaction with a variety of disciplines, application of theory to practice and the opportunity to clarify career goals. The learning experience is faculty supervised and requires journal documentation.

  • Student classification of sophomore or above
  • Must major or minor in healthcare studies
  • The internship site must be approved by the instructor before commencing the internship. Preliminary meeting with instructor is required.

Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC)

HPAC (links to HPAC) offers a wide range of support services to help students choose an individualized path to meet their professional goals. These include workshops, seminars, MCAT preparation, application advising and guidance, practice interviews, recommendation letters, and opportunities for research and off-campus learning.
