2017 Spring Break Coding Camps!

Spring Break schedule conflict continues this year as well: Most ISDs/schools in Dallas area observe March 6-10 as Spring Break, but UT Dallas has kept its schedule in sync with UT Austin & our Spring Break schedule is March 13-17! UTDallas classrooms or instructors are NOT available during March 6-10, so we will conduct the camps offsite @ Best in Class Allen (2023 W McDermott Dr, Allen, TX 75013). Few ISDs do match with UTDallas schedule. We will conduct the camps during March 13-17 at UTDallas campus.

Register by paying $100 per camp at bit.ly/sbc-utd. After advance registration ends on March 1st, fee will go up by $25. Camps with insufficient registrations will be cancelled at that time. Registration may also close early if the capacity is reached.

Morning camps will run 9am-12noon & afternoon camps will run 1-4pm. Morning campers can arrive as early as 8:30am and leave as late as 1pm. Afternoon campers can arrive as early as 12:30pm and leave as late as 5pm. Early drop-off or late pick-up outside these hours can be done with advance notification to [email protected]& will involve additional fee of $5 per 30 minutes. Parents can also combine a Morning & a Afternoon camp to make a full-day camp.

All participants should bring a laptop to each camp, except for LittleBits Circuit design. Limited # of loaners are available first-come first-serve basis for UT Dallas location only. No loaner laptops are available @ Best in Class. Note that no food will be provided for Spring break camps – campers should bring their own snacks (and lunches if needed).

We do understand that unexpected things happen and you may need to cancel the reservation at times – we have a very lenient policy: $10 cancellation fee will apply for each transaction irrespective of the total amount. Pro-rated fee will apply once the camp has started. We would like to offer all the camps at the “specified” locations. However, if a camp does not make the minimum registration numbers (typically 5 or so), we may not be able to run all the camps. So, register soon and share the information with your friends/contacts/PTA and ask them to register as well.

We have specified the grade-level recommendations below for each camp, however we observe open-door policy & we do not deny admission to our camps based on age or grade level. We expect the families to decide the best camp for each child.
