Spring Break Coding Camps 

Spring Break schedule conflict continues this year as well: Most ISDs/schools in Dallas area observe March 7-11 as Spring Break, but UT Dallas has kept its schedule in sync with UT Austin & the schedule shows March 14-18 :-( Not many classrooms or instructors are available during March 7-11. However, I managed to find a few rooms in SPN building.

*Advance registration will end on March 1st. Fee will go up by $25. Camps with insufficient registrations will be cancelled at that time.

All are week-long camps, morning session will run 9am-12noon & afternoon session will run 1-4pm. Students can arrive as early as 8:30am and leave as late as 5pm. Early drop-off before 8:30am and late pick-up after 5pm can be done with advance planning & will involve additional fee.

Even with our reasonable fees, low income families may find it difficult to pay – we strongly believe that attending a camp should NOT involve a serious financial decision. So, we offer 50% discount for children that qualify for reduced rate meals in schools. Forward the documentation to csk12@utdallas.edu to get the discount code to use during registration. We welcome school teachers to join us at a very special rate! Email us a copy of any official document/badge that shows your current employment & we will send you a discount code to use.

All participants should bring a laptop to each camp, unless some other information is clearly specified. Limited # of loaners are available first-come first-serve basis for UT Dallas location only. No loaner laptops are available for offsite locations. Similarly, lunch and snacks are provided ONLY at UT Dallas location – campers should bring their own lunch and snacks for all offsite locations.

We do understand that unexpected things happen and you may need to cancel the reservation at times – we have a very lenient policy: $10 cancellation fee will apply for each transaction irrespective of the total amount. Pro-rated fee will apply once the camp has started. We would like to offer all the camps at the “requested” locations. However, if a camp does not make the minimum registration numbers (typcially 10 or so) or the facilities run out of capacity, we may not be able to run all the camps in requested locations – you will be offered to switch to another camp/location or get full refund. So, please share the information with your friends/contacts/PTA and ask others to register as well.

Each participant needs to bring a laptop with WiFi capability & snacks (and lunch for full-day camps). We have specified the grade-level recommendations below for each camp, however we observe open-door policy & we do not deny admission to our camps based on age or grade level. We expect the families to decide the best camp for each child – we will allow the students to switch camps on the first day if possible.
