Country Finance and Country Commerce

Country Commerce provides comprehensive coverage of a country’s business environment. Country Finance gives up-to-date information about a country’s financial operating conditions.

Country Finance and Country Commerce are available through Factiva from 2002 to the present.

To access this and other online resources start at the library’s web page www.utdallas.edu/library. Click on the big orange button “Find Articles & Databases” in the upper right screen. Click on F and select Factiva from the list. Remember that from off campus you will be prompted to enter your NetID and password.

  • From the Factiva homepage, click on Source in the left screen and type either Country Commerce or Country Finance in the search box. Click the purple button. When the publication name appears in the Source Results, click on it once.
  • You can search both resources at the same time by repeating the step above, but typing in the name of the OTHER publication in the search box.
  • Choose the country you want information on by using the Region menu, or type in the name of the country in the Free Text Search box at the top. Click on the green Run Search button at the top of the screen to execute the search.
  • The search results are broken down by subheading. For instance, one search return is the section on Foreign Trade: Export insurance and credit. So, you will not see the entire publication at one time. Click on the purple hyperlink of any selection to view the full report.
