Contributors of $100 or more qualify for a Friends Library Card that provides some library borrowing privileges and on-site access to most of the Library's electronic resources. Friends of McDermott Library are able to check out 5 items at a time including 1 media item. They can access electronic resources on-site which includes most of the library's databases, e-journals, and e-books. Two Community User Workstations are available near the Reference Desk on the main floor which the Friends can use. They are able to save information to a USB thumb-drive, email journal articles to their personal account or manually record the information.
The checkout period for print materials is 21 days and media items circulate for 3 days. Late fees and replacement costs apply to all library borrowers. For more information see Circulation Policies.
