Description
Early American Imprints, Series I (Evans, 1639-1800) and Supplement This full-text database is based on the renowned American Bibliography first published by Charles Evans. For decades Evan's Bibliography served as a cornerstone for research into American history, literature, philosophy, religion, agriculture, witchcraft, and other aspects of American life in the 17th and 18th centuries. With Early American Imprints, Series I, every item in Evan's Bibliography has been digitized and is now available online. It contains more than 37,000 publications. Series I also has a supplement from the archives of the Library Company of Philadelphia which includes nearly 1,000 pamphlets and broadsides published from 1670 to 1800. Early American Imprints, Series II (Shaw-Shoemaker,1801-1819) and Supplement This full-text database is based on the renowned Bibliography of Ralph Shaw and Richard Shoemaker. Containing more than 36,000 publications, the database provides access to rich primary source material for the early decades of 19th-century America, including coverage of politics, religion, war, economics, and social and cultural thought. A supplement from the archives of the Library Company of Philadelphia includes nearly 1,000 books, pamphlets, and broadsides spanning the inauguration of Thomas Jefferson to the Adams-Onis Treaty. Early Encounters in North America: Peoples, Cultures and the Environment Consists of approximately 1,482 authors and over 100,000 pages of letters, diaries, memoirs and accounts of these early encounters. This database focuses on the description of the natural features of North America as well as the interactions among various culture groups. The time period covered by this database starts in c. 1500 and ends around c. 1850.  How to Search This Database
Early English Books Online An online collection of more than 100,000 books and pamphlets published in England and its colonies from 1473-1700. An extremely important database of primary sources for this time period, EEB is especially useful for research in the areas of English history, literature, philosophy, linguistics, and the fine arts. Each issue of this editorially-rich publication is fully searchable, and includes full-color images, exportable financial tables, and a gallery of front covers highlighting a key topic of each week. The many Supplements, Special Reports and Surveys which appear regularly in The Economist are also included as part of the archive.
The Economy and War in the Third Reich, 1933-1944 Funded by the Jaffe Collection, this official statistical source provides rare, detailed data on the German economic situation during the Third Reich up to and throughout World War II.

It comes from the Castle Corvey collection of Victor Amadeus, discovered in the 1980s. The Corvey Collection of Romantic era writing – includes fiction, short prose, dramatic works, poetry and more – with a focus on especially difficult-to-find works by lesser-known, historically neglected writers.
European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750 European Views of the Americas is based on a bibliography developed by the John Carter Brown Library. It is a comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe between 1493 and 1750. It contains citations (no full text) for more than 32,000 entries covering the history of European exploration.
