Journal Citation Reports Journal Citation Reports is a comprehensive and unique resource that allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from over 7,500 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 60 countries. JCR can show you the most frequently cited journals, highest impact journals, and largest journals in a particular field. The library's online subscription to JCR only covers journals published from 2008 to present. Reports for the years 1998-2007 may be requested by contacting Dr. Ellen Safley at 9728832916 or safley@utdallas.edu.
How to Search This Database
Offers unique access to scholarly journals in a wide array of subjects: the arts, history, philosophy, business, ecology and botany, general science, language and literature, and music. All of its journals are archival: that is, complete, unbroken runs of a majority of the titles are available, except for a "moving wall" of the last 3 to 5 years. High-resolution images (.pdf files) of all the original documents make this an exceptional resource. One can search journals, browse titles in alphabetical order or by discipline , or see the Detailed Lists of titles for coverage dates, previous titles, publishers, and ISSNs. Coverage spans as far back as 1665 for a total of over 320 titles.

Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology Written by prominent scholars from industry, academia, and research institutions, this encyclopedia presents a wide scope of articles on chemical substances — including their properties, manufacturing, and uses. It also focuses on industrial processes and unit operations in chemical engineering, as well as scientific subjects related to the field. Environmental and health issues concerning chemical technology are also addressed. The Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia is updated monthly to reflect new changes in chemical technology, and each article contains an extensive list of references for further research.
Know it all database KnowItAll U is a database containing 1.4 million spectra (IR, NMR, Raman, and UV-Vis). Created by the Informatics Division of Bio-Rad Laboratories, it also provides the molecular structure and properties of each compound. The database can be searched by compound name, molecular formula, and CAS registry number.
Tell Me More by Auralog is an online language learning program. Lessons, from beginner to advanced levels, are available for the following languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Lessons incorporate all aspects of language learning, including pronunciation, spelling, and grammar. Users need to set up a personal account and should use headphones with a microphone to take full advantage of the learning experience.

Latino Literature: Poetry, Drama, and Fiction Contains approximately 380 plays and over 67,500 pages of prose and poetry by Chicano, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican and other Latin writers working in the United States. LALI also includes full-color images of book jackets, brochures and flyers. Documents are available in English, Spanish, and Italian. Learning Express offers access to a wide variety of test preparation and skill building resources. For elementary students to adult learners, Learning express offers ebooks, online courses and scored practice exams. Topics include computer basics, occupational practice tests and graduate school entrance exams. First time users will need to register.
Contains scholarly peer-reviewed publications including law journals, documents, and case studies and is useful for researching current issues and trends in the legal world, including criminal justice, international law, ethics, and environmental law. Legal Collection offers full text for nearly 250 law journals. In addition to full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for all journals in the collection. Matthew Arnold was the preeminent poet/critic of the second half of the nineteenth century. This digital edition represents the most comprehensive and assiduously annotated collection of his correspondence available. It is fully searchable and includes both a linked index and a complete chronological listing of almost 4,000 of his letters.
Lexis-Nexis is an index to a wide variety of local, state, national, and international newspapers. It also contains business and industry newspapers, company information, SEC filings and reports, and accounting literature. LexisNexis Congressional

Provides access to the publications of the United States Congress from 1970 to the present including Congressional committee hearings and reports, the Congressional Record, the United States Code, the Code of Federal Regulations and the Federal Register, bill texts, and legislative histories for Public Laws. Online full-text availability for these documents covers 1989 to the present. For publications running from 1970 to 1988, ProQuest Congressional provides indexing with abstracts. This indexing provides access to McDermott Library’s U.S. Serial Set collection on microfilm. For access to publications produced by the U.S. Congress before 1970, consult the printed CIS Index on reference index aisle 1A on the 2nd floor of McDermott Library.  How to Search This Database

ProQuest Statistical Insight is a full-text database containing thousands of statistical charts and tables derived from federal and state government agencies, international bodies, and private organizations. ProQuest Statistical Insight's content is quite broad and includes demographic data as well as data about crime, economics, health, education, labor, and the environment. Older paper copies of these indexes (American Statistical Index, the Index to International Statistics, and the Statistical Reference Index) are available on microfiche for 1974-2000 in the Microform Index Area.  How to Search This Database

Library Literature & Information Science Full Text (LibraryLit) is an index and full-text source of library and information science-related materials. It indexes over 400 English and foreign-language periodicals, selected state journals, conference proceedings, pamphlets, library school theses, and books, dating back to 1984. In addition, it provides cover-to-cover full-text of articles from over 155 journals, dating back to 1997.
Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA) is an international index of information sciences articles. LISA indexes over 440 periodicals from at least 68 countries and includes articles in more than 20 languages. The index starts in 1969.  How to Search This Database

The Listener Historical Archive (Printed news of the BBC), 1929-1991
The Listener was a weekly publication, established by the BBC in 1929 as the medium for reproducing radio - and later, television - programs in print. With major contributors including E. M. Forster, George Orwell and Bertrand Russell, it also provided an important platform for new writers and poets, W. H. Auden, Sylvia Plath and Philip Larkin being notable examples. As well as expanding on the intellectual broadcasts of the week, The Listener also discussed major literary and musical programs and regularly reviewed new books.   How to Search This Database
