Periodicals Archive Online database is the new name of PCI Full Text---an archive of hundreds of digitized journals published in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Researchers can access over 200 years of scholarship on a wide variety of subjects.  How to Search This Database
PIO indexes hundreds of humanities, science, and social science journals from different countries in several languages. Many full-text articles are included. Coverage for some journals begins in the 17th century. Especially useful for scholarly book reviews.  How to Search This Database
Offers unique access to scholarly journals in a wide array of subjects: the arts, history, philosophy, business, ecology and botany, general science, language and literature, and music. All of its journals are archival: that is, complete, unbroken runs of a majority of the titles are available, except for a "moving wall" of the last 3 to 5 years. High-resolution images (.pdf files) of all the original documents make this an exceptional resource. One can search journals, browse titles in alphabetical order or by discipline , or see the Detailed Lists of titles for coverage dates, previous titles, publishers, and ISSNs. Coverage spans as far back as 1665 for a total of over 320 titles.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index Part of ISI Web of Knowledge, the Arts and Humanities Citation Index is a broad multidisciplinary index to journals published since 1975 in the fields of art, architecture, history, literature, music, film, philosophy, dance, religion, etc. Complete bibliographies are included for each citation allowing for cited reference searching.A good place to start if you want to know which writers are citing a particular author.  How to Search This Database
Humanities and Social Sciences Index Retrospective (1907-1984) Cites articles from English-language periodicals. Periodical coverage includes some of the best-known scholarly journals and numerous lesser-known but important specialized magazines. Coverage includes a wide range of interdisciplinary fields covered in a broad array of humanities and social sciences journals.  How to Search This Database
ITER (Medieval and Renaissance Studies) ITER is an index to articles, books, conference papers, and essays about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance (A.D. 400-1700). Written in a variety of languages, these articles are from over 1,500 international scholarly journals published since 1784. Subjects include history, literature, music, art, sociology, politics, etc. ITER is an excellent place to begin research on medieval subjects.
FRANCIS Francis is created by the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, France. This multilingual, multidisciplinary database is especially useful for the humanities and social sciences. Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans (1639-1800) Online full-text database based on the renowned American Bibliography first published by Charles Evans. For many decades Evan's Bibliography served as a cornerstone for research into American history, literature, philosophy, religion, agriculture, witchcraft, and virtually every aspect of American life in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. With Early American Imprints, Series I, every item in Evan's Bibliography has been digitized and is now available online. It contains more than 37,000 publications. Early American Imprints, Series II: Shaw-Shoemaker (1801-1819) Early American Imprints, Series II is an online full-text database based on the renowned Bibliography of Ralph Shaw and Richard Shoemaker. Containing more than 36,000 publications, the database provides access to the rich primary source material for the early decades of nineteenth century America, including coverage of politics, religion, war, economics, and social and cultural thought. Early American Imprints, Series II may be searched by title, author, subject, genre, language, date, publisher, place of publication, or by simple keywords.
Essay & General Literature Index Retrospective (1900-1984)

This database indexes over 249,000 essays from books published between 1900 and 1984.  Subjects include archaeology, architecture, art, children’s literature, classical studies, drama, economics, fiction, film, folklore, history, linguistics, music, poetry, political science, psychology, religion, and women’s studies.  The database includes publications from the United States, Canada and Great Britain. Early English Books Online An online collection of more than 100,000 books and pamphlets published in England and its colonies from 1473-1700. An extremely important database of primary sources for this time period, EEB is especially useful for research in the areas of English history, literature, philosophy, linguistics, and the fine arts. ACLS Humanities E-Book ACLS Humanities E-Book (HEB) digital collection provides over 1,700 full-text titles of high-quality books in Humanities, featuring unlimited multi-user access and free, downloadable MARC records. HEB is available 24/7 on- and off-campus through standard web browsers.
