Literary Rights Statement

Permission to publish material from this collection in any form, current or future, must be obtained from the Special Collections Department, Eugene McDermott Library, The University of Texas at Dallas.

Provenance Statement

The Lawrence E. De Leon Negatives Collection was donated to the History of Aviation Collection, Special Collections Department, Eugene McDermott Library, The University of Texas at Dallas, by Lawrence E. De Leon on September 21, 1982.

Note to the Researcher

Although each photograph and negative in the collection has been assigned a unique, sequential number, several individuals processed this collection and the researcher will find that some sequential numbers have not been assigned. Nonetheless, the collection is presumed to be complete.

The condition of the bulk of the collection’s photographs is fair to poor since they have been removed from album pages to which they were originally affixed. Many are creased, slightly torn, or bear residual mounting tape, corner mounts, and/or album page fragments on the back of the photographs.

Some of the photographs are captioned on the back of the photograph; and many more photographs are captioned in ink in one of the photographs' borders (typically the bottom border.) Still other photographs have been professionally produced with names and identifying information incorporated into the photographs themselves.
