Privileges

Friends of Eugene McDermott Library are invited to library programs, tours, exhibits, and special lectures.

Contributors of $100 or more are recognized by the Library’s Digital Bookplate Program. Bookplates are linked to books in the library's online catalog, becoming a permanent symbol of our loyal donors.

Friends of Eugene McDermott Library are able to check out 5 items at a time including 1 media item. The checkout period for print materials is 21 days and media items circulate for 3 days. Late fees and replacement costs apply to all library borrowers.

Friends can access electronic resources on-site. Three Community User Workstations are available near the Reference Desk on the main floor.

FAQ

Can I check out media items? You can check out one media item for 3 days.

Can I check out laptops? Due to a limited number of laptops, this service is offered only to UTD students.

Can I use Interlibrary Loan services? This service is available at your home library.

Can I have TexShare privileges? You will need to register for and receive a TexShare card from your home library.
