The Eugene McDermott Library at the University of Texas at Dallas is proud to sponsor the Achieving Tenure: Celebrating Books program. This initiative recognizes the bond between the written word and the achievement of faculty members who have attained tenure. The occasion is marked by each scholar choosing a book that influenced them. The book will be added to the library collection with a personalized bookplate to celebrate their promotion. This website showcases the selected titles along with a description of the significance the book played in their lives and careers. |

DATABASE OF THE MONTH:CLASE PERIODICA indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences, humanities, and the sciences and technology from 1975 to the present. It provides access to more than 300,000 bibliographic citations from documents published in 2,600 scholarly journals published in the Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English languages. It includes periodical articles, essays, book reviews, monographs, conference proceedings, technical reports, and interviews published in journals edited in 24 different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from publications that focus on Pan-American issues. |
