Established in 1992, the George W. Jalonick III and Dorothy Cockrell
Jalonick Memorial Distinguished Lecture Series has expanded to
become a yearly event that allows The History of Aviation Collection
to showcase some of the most prominent and fascinating figures
in the field of aviation history. Held in the summer, these lectures
are free and open to all interested members of the public.
Mark your calendar for 2009 Jalonick Lecture
The annual Jalonick Lecture is scheduled for July 18, 2009. Our speaker will be
Colonel Walter Boyne, USAF (Ret.). The lecture is open and free to the public. It will begin at 4 p.m. in the MC 2.410 auditorium of McDermott Library at The University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas. A reception will follow the presentation in Special Collections on the third level of the library.
