Undergraduate and graduate students wanting to apply for federal, state, and some institutional funds must complete either a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a Renewal FAFSA. This application can be completed at FAFSA on the Web. The information on the FAFSA is used to establish financial aid eligibility for the various financial aid programs offered at UTD. There is no separate institutional financial aid application to complete.
The Department of Mathematical Sciences usually has some assistantships available for UT Dallas undergraduates majoring in mathematical sciences. Duties involve assisting with the ongoing research or instructional activities of the department. Qualified students should contact the department for application. Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled in the fast track BS/MS degree programs in mathematical sciences.
Graduate AssistantshipsAdditional financial aid is available for graduates in the form of assistantships. Strong applicants will receive financial aid in the form of Teaching or Research Assistantship, which are awarded to full-time graduate students on the basis of merit.
In addition to the graduate assistantship, full-time applicants with exceptional educational credentials will be automatically considered for the supplemental Educational Excellence Fellowship.
