Take a look at the four current classes of McDermott Scholars!

Class of 2010

2010 ScholarsThe 2010 class of Scholars includes three valedictorians and two salutatorians and boasts an average SAT score of 2240. Collectively, the students were in the top 2.2 percent of their high school classes. They hail from seven states: Alaska, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington; and the country of Bahrain.

 

Class of 2009

2009 ScholarsThe 2009 class of Scholars is made up of nine women and nine men, and includes six valedictorians and one salutatorian.  The students collectively graduated in the top 2 percent of their high school class and averaged 2230 on the SAT. Fourteen of them are from Texas, with the remaining four hailing from Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, and New Jersey.

 

Class of 2008

2008 McDermott Scholars

The 2008 class of Scholars is made up of ten women and ten men, includes three valedictorians and one salutatorian.  The students collectively graduated in the top 2.3 percent of their high school class.  Three achieved a perfect score on the SAT or the ACT; the group averaged 2240 on the SAT overall.

 

 

Class of 2007

The 2007 class of Scholars includes six valedictorians and one salutatorian and boasts an average SAT score of 2180 out of 2400.  Collectively, the students are in the top 1.6 percent of their high school classes and hail from Canada, Mexico and four states, including Texas.
