Volunteer with us

The Multicultural Center offers various volunteer opportunities year-round. Volunteers are needed to create environments where students are “edutained” (educated and entertained).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of volunteers do you need?
A: We are looking for inspired individuals who are passionate about culture and diversity, helping people and serving the UTD community. We also welcome students who must meet service hours according to their organizations and/or scholarship programs.

Q: What does volunteering looking like?
A: Volunteering at MC events can include but is not limited to: Preparing decorations, greeting guests, setting up for events, handing out water bottles, serving food, monitoring lines, assisting guests with questions, picking up trash, passing out materials, keeping count of the number of attendees, distributing surveys, and other tasks as needed.

Q: How long are the shifts?
A: We typically schedule our shifts for a minimum of 1 hour. If you’d like to help for longer we would love to have you.

Q: Can my organization volunteer with the Center?
A: Yes! Please stop by in person or email [email protected] to sign up.
