Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Honored In Speech and In Song
Jan. 16, 2008
The inspiration was verbal as well as musical Tuesday at the breakfast in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. The capacity crowd heard from Nevil Shed (at right), who made history on the first all-African-American starting lineup to play in an NCAA basketball championship. The Perpetual Praise Choir (below) also lent their voices to the occasion. Observances continued that evening with a campus candlelight procession. |
