Renowned Literary Critic to Lecture on China Studies

The Confucius Institute at UT Dallas presents “An American in China: Reflections on Literary and Cultural Studies in the People’s Republic of China,” a public lecture by prominent literary critic J. Hillis Miller, who will be visiting campus Wednesday.

Miller is regarded as one of the most influential literary critics of the 20th and 21st centuries. He is a prolific author, editor and speaker.

The lecture will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jonsson Performance Hall.

Miller will also lead a forum on “The Future of Literature and Literary Theory” at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Visual Arts Building.

Admission is free for both events.

The Visual Arts Building is located near Rutford Drive on the UT Dallas campus. Jonsson Performance Hall is near Drive C.
