Holiday Renovations to Upgrade Comet Café

The Comet Café is scheduled for a renovation and upgrade project, which will bring in new food offerings (Subway and Coyote Jack's Grill) as well as changes to the existing Chick-fil-A and Chef's Table.

The operations schedule for the food service facilities will be affected by the construction, although plans are being made to minimize inconvenience.

Here is the current renovation schedule:

Week of Dec. 15

  • Chef’s Table and Players Grill Closed for renovation

Dec. 20 – Jan. 4

  • All food service venues closed for the holidays but construction will be ongoing.

Week of Jan. 5

  • Comet Café closed but kitchen will provide limited grab-and-go food service
  • Coffee Corner (SOM) – closed
  • The Pub – open 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Week of Jan. 12

  • Comet Café partially open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (opening of Coyote Jack’s Grill and reopening of Chef’s Table expected)
  • Coffee Corner open 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Pub open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday.


Future changes

Chick-fil-A will be updated and back in service in mid-January. Subway will open in mid-February.
