Busy Career Expo Season About to Kick Off

Employers to Represent Jobs in Teaching, Public Agencies and Medical Fields

March is a busy month at the UT Dallas Career Center, which is about to kick off a series of career expos.

Three events are planned for next month, with one more to follow in April.

UT Dallas students and graduates are encouraged to use the career expos to connect with employers from school districts, nonprofit organizations, corporations, small businesses and government agencies.

The events are open only to currently enrolled students and alumni who have earned a degree from UT Dallas.

The full spring expo lineup is as follows:


Spring Career Expo
Thursday, March 5
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
UT Dallas Activity Center


This Expo offers internships and co-ops, full-time and part-time employment opportunities, as well as general career information from a variety of industry sectors.



Teacher Career Expo
Wednesday, March 11
1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Student Union Galaxy Rooms


The event is designed primarily for students involved in the Teacher Certification Program, but it is also open to all UT Dallas students and alumni interested in pursuing careers in K-12 education.



Public Agency Career Expo
Wednesday, March 25
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Student Union Galaxy Rooms


This event offers UT Dallas students and alumni an opportunity to interact with employers from municipalities and nonprofit organizations, as well as city, state, and federal governments about possible internships, full-time and part-time positions, as well as volunteer opportunities.



Health Professions Expo
Wednesday, April 15
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Student Union Galaxy Rooms

The Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC), along with the UT Dallas Career Center, is hosting the first Health Professions Expo on April 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Representatives will attend from various graduate and professional school programs:
• Medical schools
• Dental schools
• Pharmacy schools
• Optometry schools
• Veterinary schools
• Physical therapy schools
• Physician assistant programs
• Allied health programs
• International programs
• Military scholarship programs
• MCAT/DAT/PCAT/OAT prep course information
