University Mourns Staffer Randall Traynham

UT Dallas mourns the loss of longtime Facilities Maintenance staffer Randall Traynham. He died Nov. 9 at age 60.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Roselawn Funeral Chapel, 1000 S. Highway 175 in Seagoville, Texas.
Traynham was born May 27, 1949, in Seneca, S.C. He lived in Seagoville.
He was the maintenance supervisor for the Callier South Campus and the Center for BrainHealth and had more than 13 years of service with UT Dallas.
“At the time of his passing, Randall had been on sick leave for several weeks battling serious illness,” said Richard M. Dempsey, associate vice president for facilities management.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Randall’s family and friends,” Dempsey said.
Traynham is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Matthew and Billy; two stepdaughters, Mechelle Davis and Cheryl Edwards; a stepson, Shawn Poarch; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Lynn Terry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
