Realize the Vision: The Campaign for Tier One & Beyond Aims to Raise $200 Million by the End of 2014

Jun. 6, 2013

About 200 supporters gathered at the W Dallas Residences to celebrate $162 million raised toward UT Dallas’ first comprehensive campaign to benefit research, innovation, students and academics.

With 18 months remaining, the University has entered the most critical stage of the $200 million Realize the Vision campaign, which ends Dec. 31, 2014.

The event was hosted by Sejal Desai MBA’99 and Mahesh Shetty EMBA’99 of Encore Enterprises, a commercial real estate operation based in Dallas.

Since the campaign’s quiet start in 2009 and the public announcement more than a year ago, supporters have broken many giving records. Alumni donors have more than doubled. A record number of corporations, foundations and individuals have created 150 endowed funds to advance academic programs, scientific breakthroughs and student achievement. And looking to the future, Legacy Society members have made 30 new planned gifts that total $12.5 million.
