New Art Exhibition, Capital F,
A reception will be held in connection with the exhibition in the building's Main Gallery on Friday, March 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The reception will feature a performance work by James Rippie and Xinpeng Chen, Funtime Karaoke with Susie at 7:30 and a new video work by sub-comedy master Neil Hamberger. Capital F is an exhibition of work from an assortment of both known and unknown artists in visual investigations of the idea of failure and the role it plays in the creative/critical process. Among the artists whose works will be represented are James Angus, Conrad Bakker, Ed Blackburn, Jeff Dalton, Neil Hamburger, Brandon Kennedy, Justin Kidd, Greg Metz, Raoul Vaneigem and Rippie and Chen. All UTD art exhibitions are free and open to the public. The Visual Arts Building is open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
