Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman, director of UTD's Center for BrainHealth, will appear on the Glenn Mitchell Show on KERA 90.1 radio on Wednesday, April 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. Appearing with her will be Dr. Steven Kernie of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.

The two will discuss new breakthroughs in treatments for brain injuries and diseases in advance of a high-level, two-day scientific conference on brain "plasticity" to be held at UT Southwestern on Thursday and Friday.

Two Nobel laureates and more than a dozen other experts on the human brain will participate in the conference, which was organized by Chapman.
