UTD To Present The James Gilyard Ensemble
Joining bassist Gilyard, artistic director of the Sammons Center for the Arts, will be UTD faculty member Kelly Durbin on piano, Karl Lampman on saxophone and flute and Andrew Griffith on drums along with two special guests, pianist Arlington Jones and vocalist Simone Rogers. This great group of jazz musicians will perform such selections as Speak Low, Blue & Green, Naima, Solar, Lover Man and This Can't Be Love. Tickets for the concert are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. They will be on sale Mondays to Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Art and Performance Office in the Visual Arts Building on campus and will be available at the door one hour prior to show time. Tickets also are available for purchase by phone during ticket office hours by calling 972-883-2982 and charging with Visa or Mastercard.
