UTD Rises to 34th in Kiplinger’s ‘Best Value’ Survey
The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is ranked 34th in the latest annual listing of the 100 best values in public colleges in the U.S., to be published in the November issue of Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine. That represents a huge improvement over last year's ranking in which UTD finished 95th.
The publication compiles the ranking based on a number of measures of academic quality and cost, including SAT and ACT scores, admission rates, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates, expenditures for instruction and facilities and both total and average costs for students to attend. The magazine reviews data from more than 500 public, four-year colleges and universities to come up with its list of the 100 best college values.
Other Texas universities included in the 2003 ranking are The University of Texas at Austin (20), Texas A&M University (33) and Texas Tech University (98).
