UTD Professor Dr. Marion Underwood
Dr. Marion Underwood, associate professor in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), will speak on "social aggression among girls" Wednesday, April 30, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the McDermott Library Auditorium (MC 2.410) on campus.
The lecture, part of the McDermott Library Lecture Series, originally was set for Wednesday, April 16, but had to be rescheduled.
Underwood, UTD's Teacher of the Year in 2001, recently won a $1.8-million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study how the quality of children's friendships contribute to the psychological adjustment of young adolescents. She has a book due out later this month.
Refreshments will be served prior to the lecture, which is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Tom Koch at (972) 883-4951.
