Mexican Expert to Discuss Effects
Mexico’s Monica Verea, an expert in contemporary migration in North America, will discuss the difficulties created by the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on U.S.-Mexico migration during a lecture at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) on Tuesday, March 2.
The free public presentation, which will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Room 4.514 of the Jonsson Building, is a part of an annual lecture series organized by the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies at UTD. The Verea lecture is co-sponsored by UTD’s McDermott Library.
The title of Verea’s lecture will be “U.S.-Mexico Relations: Before and After September 11th.”
Verea is director of the Department of Inter-Institutional Collaboration at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City.
