Family OrientationsFamily Members of Freshman StudentsFamily orientation is designed to help you get to know the University and campus community. Several sessions have been planned to inform you of available campus resources. You will meet academic advisors, administrators, professors, and student development professionals from all areas of the University. Sessions have been planned to discuss your concerns and answer your questions about the changes you and your student will soon begin to experience. You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other parents and family members who are experiencing similar situations, challenges, and celebrations. Orientation DatesSemester that is specified below refers to the semester that the students plans to attend UTD. Fall 2008
Family Members of Transfer and Graduate StudentsIf your student is a transfer or graduate student you are welcome to attend their orientation. Please indicate this at the time of the registration. Family Members of International StudentsInternational Students attend International Student Orientation, offered through International Student Services at UT D. Family Members of international students are welcome to attend these orientations. Moreover, family members of freshman international students are welcome to attend the Freshman Family Orientations. Parent and Family AssociationThe Parent & Family Association (PFA) is an avenue for family members and parents of UTD students to get information on the campus, find out about special events and important deadlines, and get resources for parents and families that discuss issues facing their college student.
