School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

The UTD School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is proud to present:

Nanotechnology: Thinking Small or Small Thinking?

Presented by Chad A. Mirkin, Ph.D.

The Natural Science Foundation has made the analogy between nanotechnology and the industrial revolution, a bold claim that has generated a great deal of interest from both the scientific and business communities.

This talk will discuss present and future opportunities in the field from science, technology, and even business perspectives. An effort will be made to separate fact from fiction in a field that is enormous in both potential and topical size.

Dr. Mirkin's presentation, free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2005 at 3 p.m in the UTD Polykarp Kusch Auditorium (located in Founders North FN 2.102).

Lunch, which requires that you RSVP by May 2, 2005, will be served from 1 - 2 p.m. Galaxy Room, Student Union. For additional information, or to RSVP for lunch, please call Jillian Zeiger at 972-883-2418.
