Mathematical Reflections, Online Publication for High School and Undergraduate Students Interested in Mathematics, Launched by UTD Mathematics Education Professor
Dr. Titu Andreescu, a UTD Mathematics Education associate professor, launched Mathematical Reflections, a publication for high school and undergraduate students. He is the editor of this mathematics journal, which will be published six times a year.
Mathematical Reflections intends to fill the editor's perceived need for a publication that is aimed primarily at high school students and undergraduates interested in mathematics. Through articles and problems, the editor seeks to expose readers to a variety of interesting topics that are fully accessible to the target audience.
The journal looks to expand the horizons of high school and undergraduate students by introducing them to material outside the scope of most classes. For instructors, the articles provide an intriguing opportunity to move away from a structured curriculum and guide students through to the invaluable moments of discovery.
Mathematical Reflections challenges students to develop creative problem solving and reasoning skills by devising solutions to the proposed questions. Exceptional solutions will be published with the intent of encouraging students to formally write out and submit their work to be showcased in print.

Andreescu served as Director of the American Mathematics Competition (1998-2003) and Head Coach of the USA Math Olympiad Team (1995-2002).
