5 Admissions Criteria

Unconditional Admission Criteria:

Completed Bachelors Degree with the following additional requirements:

1) GRE (V+Q), minimum score of 1000

2) Minimum undergraduate GPA 3.0 based on all undergraduate course work

3) Leveling courses: Students from non-biology backgrounds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis as to the need for leveling course work

4) International Students: minimum TOEFL score is 79

Justification for admission exception to the above criteria will be determined by a graduate admission review committee formed of at least three Environmental Faculty. Such exceptions will consider all applicant qualifications and may include, but is not limited to the one or more of the below additional applicant considerations.

1) Personal Statement

2) 3 Letters of Recommendation

3) Relevant continuing education credits/certificate

4) 4 years of bachelor degree

These applicants may be considered for conditional admission by the committee because of the demonstration of one or more of these factors, which can be illustrative of success for doctoral level work
