
Students and postdoctoral researchers assist AIRC faculty in chemistry labs, magnet bays, and in a host of other areas. Postdoctoral research is essential to the scholarly mission of the Advanced Imaging Research Center at UT Southwestern, and researchers continually produce publications based on relevant findings.

There are a number of open positions for Graduate Research Assistants in the AIRC. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a background in the following disciplines: engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and neuroscience. Potential candidates will work with investigators at the AIRC to develop novel imaging technologies for biological and medical applications. Possible projects include the development of new MRI contrast agents for assessment of tissue physiology, performing experiments to increase understanding of metabolic pathways in humans and in animal models, non-invasive imaging of biophysical and biochemical parameters in living subjects, and establishing biomarkers that are useful for diagnosis and treatment of disease processes.
