Teaching Academy Certification

What is it?

The Teaching Academy Certification is made up of 12 modules that were developed to provide the needed information to be a well informed and knowledgeable instructor. Each module consists of a three hour face-to-face workshop and an evaluation criteria. This may be modified over time to determine if the participants are able to use the information provided in the workshop. Once the modules are completed, the individual will present a lesson while being video taped. The individual will conduct a self-critique with a specified rubric. This individual can record themselves as many times as they need. Once they feel comfortable with their presentation skills, he/she will present a lesson in front of a panel. This panel will consists of an individual from OEE, someone from the school he/she is from, and a third party of OEE and the school's choosing. The panel will use the same criteria to evaluate the individual. When someone has completed all of these requirements, they will be presented with the framed certification.
