DID YOU KNOW that the Cliffs of Moher take their name from a ruined promontory fort, Mothar, which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room for a signal tower? The cliffs are five miles long and 214 meters high. Visitors are cautioned as there are no rails to prevent falling.
Aaron Rathbun visited the Cliffs of Moher during
his Fall Semester trip to Ireland in 2003.
