DID YOU KNOW that a stele (pronounced stee-lee) is an upright stone slab with an inscribed or sculptured surface, used as a monument or as a commemorative piece? The Code of Hammurabi is perhaps the most famous, on which Babylonian laws were written.
Katherine Downey, Senior Lecturer in Arts &
Humanities, and friend view a stele in the British
Museum, London, 2003.
We are excited that you are
interested in studying abroad as it is an opportunity
that allows for personal growth, a time to develop new
insights into other cultures and an opportunity to enhance
your global knowledge.
The Office of International Education does not endorse
any study abroad program since each student may have
different desires, needs, and objectives to meet their
academic goals. Students may consider field of study,
location, and/or recommendations from other students,
among other aspects, to select a study abroad program
through a third-party provider that best meets their
desires and needs.
Students may visit the web site of StudyAbroad.com,
which provides a comprehensive directory of options.
Students are required to satisfy the institutional protocol
before deadlines to be able to pursue a study abroad
program. The deadlines are:
Spring 2008 - October 29
Summer 2008 - April 7
Fall 2008 - May 26
