Student Employees (TA/RA) / Others

If you are a Teaching or Research Assistant or a student employee, and your experience abroad is fully or partially sponsored by UTD, i.e. air ticket, hotel, conference fee, etc., you are required to complete the Office of International Education (OIE) protocol.

If you are a McDermott Scholar participating in a non-credit study abroad program, and your program is fully or partially sponsored by UTD, i.e. air ticket, hotel, etc., you are required to complete OIE protocol.

If you are a student representing UTD in a conference, sport competition, etc., you are required to complete OIE protocol. Students pursuing non-credit travel are required to submit all protocol items along with the Exhibit B14 - F (prepared by student's administrative department) a minimum of three (3) weeks prior to departure. Please visit the web section of deadlines and institutional protocol.

Satisfaction of the UTD Institutional Protocol serves many purposes including health and safety concerns and emergency situations. Completing the protocol assures students that the university is acting in their best interest leaving them only to worry about an enjoyable international education experience!
