Resources

The University of Texas at Dallas is an equal opportunity, equal access, affirmative action employer committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive community. – UT Dallas Equal Opportunity Statement

Search Committee Training

The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC), in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and Office of Human Resources, provides training for search committees. These workshops are designed to help hiring managers and search committees identify and incorporate best practices in recruitment and selection so they can conduct fair, inclusive, and effective searches, consistent with university and department goals. Topics covered include: recruiting diverse applicant pools, evaluating applicants, minimizing unconscious bias, interviewing candidates, creating an inclusive environment, and complying with equal opportunity, affirmative action, and confidentiality responsibilities.

Executive and Other Senior Administrator Positions

The Opportunity Rule establishes guidelines and procedures for promoting diverse candidate interview pools for leadership positions within the U.T. System Administration and U.T. institutions while complying with applicable laws. – UTS187 Interviews of Executive Administrators and Other Senior Administrators

A search process compliant with UTS187 is required for all executive administrator positions and is strongly encouraged for other senior administrator positions. See the OIEC Recruitment Guide: A Resource Guide for Recruiting a Diverse Workforce for details. The OIEC provides training to search committees for all executive administrator positions and for senior and other administrator positions upon request.

Faculty  Positions

In collaboration with the Office of the Provost, the OIEC provides training to search committee for full-time faculty positions and for other faculty positions upon request.
