Infrastructure Services provides the Office of Information Technology the underlying foundation of Virtual, Physical, and Storage systems to support the operation and services of the University. Infrastructure Services Team maintains the reliability and viability of the computing facilities by providing optimal datacenter computing and data protection.
The Architecture and Infrastructure Services (AIS) DBA Team provides support for Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL databases that reside with the AIS enterprise database environments. The vision of the DBA Team is to expand and enhance these enterprise environments with additional features, support tools and capacity.
The Architecture and Infrastructure Services (AIS) Windows Servers, Systems & Enterprise Platforms (WSSEP) team provides quality service and effective enterprise solutions to enable the University to achieve its service goals and objectives. The AIS WSSEP team focuses on, but is not limited to, Microsoft solutions: such as Windows servers and Exchange services. The AIS WSSEP team provides the highest quality of service in design, deployment, administration and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and collaborative services; through innovative technological leadership, proactive professionalism, knowledge and the integrity of our staff.
The UNIX/Linux Team provides backend support for many services to the campus: Wiki, Confluence, JIRA, WWW, LDAP authentication, DNS, DHCP, account management services, and general computing resources. The UNIX/Linux Team specializes in Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
The Provisioning and Access Center (PAC) team within the Architecture and infrastructure department processes the university’s provisioning and access requests from student, staff, and faculty constituencies. PAC is also the Security Agent for UTD, granting access to the State Comptroller Unified Financial Systems.
