A sign-up sheet was passed out at the beginning of Friday's meeting. All GeoClub members are welcome to join the team as long as spots remain open. Play begins Wednesday, March 25th at 9:00pm. The deadline for sign-ups is March 10th.
-A sign-up sheet was passed out for Scholar's Day volunteers. Scholar's Day is a UTD event focused on advertising degree programs and student organizations to prospective students. The event was held on Saturday, February 28th from 10:45 - 1:00pm.
Volunteers were Lorna Hanko, Kathleen Smith, Michael Bavoso, and Dr. John Oldow.
-Information for February 28th and March 1st's fossil hunt field trip to Jacksboro and Mineral Wells was also given out. Due in large part to Michele Kashouh, the trip was a large success. Despite freezing temperatures, everyone came back with plenty of Pennsylvanian marine fossils. Pictures can be seen on GeoClub's facebook group.
-The sign-up sheet for the spring break trip to Big Bend National Park is taped to Dr. Pujana and Brikowski's lab door in Founders Annex. We will leave for the trip on Wednesday, March 18th and return on Sunday March 22nd.
-UTD Geoscience Alumna, Amanda Jones, gave a presentation on the Big Eddy Unit, Delaware Basin in Southeastern New Mexico. She also spoke about her experiences working for an oil and natural gas drilling company in Fort Worth, TX.
-Pizza was had, and there was much rejoicing.

Some things will behave oddly from time to time due to the default permissions UTD places on newly created files. Let me know if you have any problems!
Before long, we'll be posting summaries or minutes of meetings so if you missed a meeting, you can find out what you missed, what was decided, etc.
