Membership into the Society is by invitation only to the top 15% of sophomores, juniors and seniors in all fields of study. As of Spring 2010, membership in the UTD Chapter will also be open to graduate students who have completed 6+ hours of study at UTD and hold a high GPA.
Joining Golden KeyEligible students will receive a letter of invitation, and membership can be accepted in one of two ways:
New members receive a membership certificate at the induction ceremony held every year at each chapter. Certificates will be available at the induction only for members who join by the deadline. Certificate for members who join after the deadline will be mailed to the address provided.
The one-time membership fee to join is $70. Once you become a member, you are a lifetime member.

Golden Key International Honour Society is an internationally recognized, nonprofit organization with over 350 chapters throughout the United States and across the globe. Golden Key International Honour society awards more than 700 scholarships each year amounting to half a million dollars. The UTD Chapter awards 2 Undergraduate Scholarships every year, as well as 12 Scholar Awards for graduate work, totalling $10,000 apiece.
