Prospective Members

Membership into the Society is by invitation only to the top 15% of sophomores, juniors and seniors in all fields of study. As of Spring 2010, membership in the UTD Chapter will also be open to graduate students who have completed 6+ hours of study at UTD and hold a high GPA.

Joining Golden Key

Eligible students will receive a letter of invitation, and membership can be accepted in one of two ways:

Mail the completed Membership Acceptance Form and complete fee payment to the Golden Key headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. The acceptance card must arrive in Atlanta by the deadline date to produce your certificate in time for the induction ceremony.
Join on-line via a secured web site. Your letter of invitation or e-mail will provide you with the specific instructions on how to accept your membership and pay on-line. If you have lost your letter, call the Society's International Headquarters at 1-800-377-2401.

New members receive a membership certificate at the induction ceremony held every year at each chapter. Certificates will be available at the induction only for members who join by the deadline. Certificate for members who join after the deadline will be mailed to the address provided.

The one-time membership fee to join is $70. Once you become a member, you are a lifetime member.

Scholarships

Golden Key International Honour society awards more than 700 scholarships each year amounting to half a million dollars. The UTD Chapter awards 2 Undergraduate Scholarships every year, as well as 12 Scholar Awards for graduate work, totalling $10,000 apiece.
