Theme: The Race is On. As technology races forward, we educators need to understand the current trends of information technology and (as much as possible) understand where we are headed because -- The Race is On. This is an annual conference designed to convene educators from colleges, university and high schools, both public and private, who are interested in the application of computer technology to teaching and learning throughout Texas. This year, the conference will focus on our theme -- The Race is On.
Hotel: Arrangements have been made for conference attendees to stay at the Hyatt Regency - Bush Intercontinental Airport at the State per diem rate (currently $70 for single and $90 for double). To insure the State per diem rates, reservations must be made no later than September 9, 1998. For hotel reservations please call (800) 233-1234 or (281) 987-1234 and refer to the group name of Association for Computer Educators in Texas. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and Check-out time is 12 Noon.
Registration Fees: Conference registration is $70 for main Conference (October 2-3). The fee for the Pre-Conference (October 1) Seminar is $25. See Conference Registration Form for more detail.
Location: The 1997 conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency - Bush Intercontinental Airport, 15747 John F. Kennedy Blvd.
Dress: The recommended dress for this year's conference is "Business Casual".
