This will be a one day overview of the dynamic 40-hour program designed specifically for distance learning professionals. This program focuses on helping distance learning faculty and trainers enhance existing skills or develop new ones. It is designed to enrich their distance learning teaching experiences.

Participants will benefit by being introduced to the following concepts: Gaining an understanding of the planning and organizational requirements needed to deliver distance learning programs. Learning how to integrate interactive teaching strategies with mediated instruction. Participants will experience a true distance learning environment including a live distance learning experience through a demonstration of equipment in use. Develop cooperative networks with other distance learning professionals.

Participants in this one-day pre-conference will be eligible for a drawing to be held at the end of the day. The grand prize will be FREE scholarship to participate in the complete 40-hour Distance Learning Certification Program. This is a $1,200 value.

The pre-conference will be held at the University Center, located in The Woodlands, Texas. Transportation will be arranged from the hotel.
