What :
A gender studies lecture series aimed at 4 major themes: gender
and careers; gender, science and technology; gender and the arts;
gender, power and leadership. Lectures will be 1 hr. presentations
by leading experts open to UTD faculty, staff, and students, and
where possible to the surrounding community. Films to commemorate
Women's History Month and other films relevant for women's issues
are included in the program of spring events.
Why :
To promote knowledge and awareness of issues affecting society
especially as they impact women.
