ARTICLE IV. Administration Officers
The Chemistry Student Association will elect a President,
Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, First-Year Graduate Representative,
and an Undergraduate Representative. These members will constitute
the Executive Board. Elections are normally held at a meeting of the
Association during the Spring Semester. Anyone interested in becoming
an Executive Board member must register at least two weeks in advance
of an upcoming election. The election will include votes from all
regular members.
Duties
It will be the responsibility of the President to assign
an Executive Board member to represent the Association in the Student
Organization Forum and to conduct other business with the University
as well as with others. The Executive Board must have the approval
of the President on any decision-making. The Executive Board cannot
make a major decision on behalf of the regular members without first
consulting the regular members in advance. On the other hand, regular
members cannot conduct any affairs on behalf of the Association without
the approval of the Executive Board. If a conflict should arise then
the issue would be to put to a vote, upon which the majority of the
regular members decide. If anyone feels that any or all of the Executive
Board members are not fulfilling their duties and must be replaced,
then this member must write an explanatory letter supporting his or
her claim. Copies of the letter must be handed to the regular members
as well as to the Executive Board whom will call a meeting of all
the regular members two weeks from the date of reception of the letter
to debate the claim. Once the debate is concluded, a vote must be
taken by the regular members on whether a reelection should be made
of the debated Executive Board member.
It will be the responsibility of the Secretary to keep regular members
informed of the meetings and activities of the Association, as well
as, keep a documentation of the Association’s meetings. It will
be the responsibility of the Treasurer to hold and maintain any moneys
of the Association in addition to submitting a semester report to
the Executive Board and the regular members; this report should show
the total income and expenditure of the Association for the semester
term. The Treasurer must be consulted on any money spending decisions.
All decisions on the spending that exceed $200 must be announced in
advance to the regular members for approval by a majority vote. All
decisions on the spending that do not exceed $200 can be decided upon
by a a majority vote of the Executive Board. The First-Year Graduate

class and may conduct sub meetings of his or her group. The Undergraduate
Representative will be responsible for any special interests of their
class and may conduct sub meetings of his or her group.
