Housing

There is no dormitory on campus. The on-campus housing is managed by a private company, in the form of apartments. (also see Residential Life)

Here are a few possibilities:

  • share a bedroom with another student in a two-bedroom apartment (usually 4 people total) on-campus, rent about $220/mo;

  • have your own bedroom in a 4-bedroom apartment on campus, rent about $270/mo

  • have your own bedroom in a 2-bedroom apartment on campus, rent about $450/mo

  • your own one-bedroom apartment on campus, rent $400-500/mo.

  • have your own bedroom in a 4-bedroom apartment off-campus, rent at $160/mo and up, need transportation, 30min by bike to school, hard to find roommate.

  • have your own bedroom in an apartment or a house off-campus, rent from $300-$500, can always find one. Need transportation. (If you are coming from other states within the US, you could also call apartment locating services. Their service is free, but they tend not to provide info on inexpensive apartments)

Important: Subscribe to the FACSS mailing list and post a message looking for room. Watch the mailing list closely, see if someone is looking for roommates. You may also consider renting an apartment directly from the Waterview Apartments office. But there is usually a long waiting list or you have to sign a lease by yourself for a whole apartment, which is quite expensive.
