IDEA Club Student Membership Application

Applicant Information

Membership to the IDEA club is available to all registered students at UTDallas. Faculty and staff members need not fill out this form, for they will only be considered as attendees. If you plan on attending at least one meeting this academic year, you should complete this form. None of your information will be furnished to other parties, and it will be kept on file by the IDEA club leadership for one academic year. Additionally, your e-mail address will be used to inform you of IDEA club meetings and special events, if you so choose.

Official Membership

To become an official member of the IDEA club, you must attend at least two club meetings or events--on a semester by semester basis--prior to the last day of the third month in each semester term (October 31st and March 31st). For additional details, please see the bylaws at http://www.utdallas.edu/orgs/idea/bylaws.htm. Official members are eligible for voting and other privileges. Official membership shall differ from unofficial membership in the sense that official members may participate in the administrative affairs of the IDEA club, they may participate in special club functions, and they may be given preference in IDEA club activities or services (e.g. having a paper posted on the IDEA club website).
